Nov 16, 2022 · As long as a BMC isn't needed, I would be willing to do some plastic trimming to fit a 285/70R17, but my next tire will be a 255/80R17. The 255/80 is a true 33" tire, often a little over, like 33.3-33.4" (most 285/70's are slightly below 33") and shouldn't rub any more than a 285/70 does.
