Lian and Janos are trash, Kisthis and Erii have higher str starting out and tend to be about 15% better over a Dalinsia. For thralls I generally only care about strength and vitality. If growth rate for either of those is >70% then I feed to increase the growth rate for the other stat. It also depends on the thrall.
