Now you no longer need to guess ...The base is/was very easy to replace. You remove the bonnet on top by pinching the sides and lifting up, then lift off the rotating main hub from the base. There are a couple of videos on YouTube that show how to do it if you search Litter Robot 3 disassembly.Disconnect the bonnet. Gently flex the two front bonnet tabs outward and hold for about 20-30 seconds. Reattach the bonnet. There are four tabs total: two in the back, two on the sides.
