Personally i would Go for dex get the lothric knight sword/ultra great sword. Sharp infuse them both, you should aswell get the sellsword twinblades.The Astora sword has higher AR by a decent amount, but the Lothric Knight Sword has B/B scaling when infused with refined and that more than likely will surpass the Astora sword in damage with a quality build. Lothric absolutely. The Astora sword has abysmal scaling.Lmao, they have the same speed. All ss have same moveset, it means that best ss is the longest. Damage is less important, because why do you need damage if you can't hit. The right way to use gotthards is using just the right sword. Either with a shield, estoc, spells or xbow. Also don't underestimate r1 spam, it's powerfull when it's not expected.Moonlight Greatsword OR Crystal infused sword (Lothric Knight, Long, Broad are all good choices!) Crystal mail breaker (alternately simple if you need the FP Regen) Scholar's Candlestick (exclusively for the damage buff since it's a terrible dagger) Offhand: Court Sorcerer's Staff Simple Caestus or small shield (for FP Regen and parrying) This build revolves around the use of a dark-infused Lothric Knight Sword, which is one of the best straight swords in the entire series that also has a very common but potent infusion.Lothric Knight Sword is literally the most Meta and the best all around straight sword in the game. Literally in every top tier players tier list and setup. Don't exclusively use one weapon though, Straight swords (especially the LSS) are for fighting people who are using slow wind up weapons, think of Great swords, Ultra's, Curved swords etc..
