Oct 20, 2012 · One an 012 and one an 013. When you start the engine and then put the transmission in HI or Low range, there is a sharp lag like clunk when you start to accelerate from a dead start. It idles at 1700 rpms, but when u give it gas to take off, you have to get the rpms up to 2200-2300 before it engages and when it does engage it jerks, and makes a loud CLUNK noise.Nov 26, 2016 · w.wood · #11 · Dec 10, 2016. Had the same thing happen to my 2015 S900, the front end started to make a clunking noise even going over small bumps at low speed. Turned out to be oil loss in the driver's side front shock. Took the shock to Shock Therapy, they tested it and confirmed that diagnosis. The noise seemed to happen the most when the clutches were on the verge of engaging the belt. That would explain why at higher speeds the noise goes away - the clutches are fully engaged.
