I am more than happy with my SX-70s and SLR680 cameras but I wanted the new Polaroid cam, no reasons for that.

 
The Square Shooter was the little cousin to the Polaroid Colorpack camera, the downside to this is that it means this camera used “80-Series” packfilm, this was part of the myriad of films available back before Polaroid hit extreme financial hardship and opted to shut down production of all films in 2008. I actually tried using alkaline batteries and my instax mini 11 finally worked. (These were actually the free batteries that came free with the camera. Thought they were cheapos that wouldn't last, so I skipped em) The issue was that I tried using rechargeables (NiMH), heavy duty (zinc carbon) and NiCd batteries.
