Steve, I run the same motor with a MMP esc. The Castle gearing chart shows a 14/54 as the maximum for this motor on 3s-4s lipo's. I've been running 15/54 on 3s and had to add a fan to the motor to help control the temps. I've experienced no problems yet, after 5, 30 min sessions on 3s.
