TRICARE’s military dental insurance for retired personnel is administered by a different provider: Delta Dental. Delta has held this contract since 2012 and now insures over 1.5 million Uniformed Services retirees. Under the TRDP, military retirees of any age can receive affordable dental care both in the United States and internationally.The TRICARE Retiree Dental Program provides military dental benefits for retirees thanks to a contract between the U.S. Department of Defense and the Federal Services division of Delta Dental Plan. There are over 200,000 participating provider locations. Benefits include: Endodontics, Orthodontics, & Periodontics.
