R. Joined: Jun 2005. Posts: 237. Ft Worth. I have an 89 mercury 150 xr2 black max, the tilt and trim works it just bleeds down slowly. Looking for a easy solution. I know mercury has discontinued the parts, so rebuilding is out. Looking for used one I guess is really my only option. Any Ideas would be great, Thanks.

The overall displacements of the 2 engines are different. The 135 is a 2 liter engine, the 175 is a 2.5 liter engine. The 2 engines share the same crankshaft, but a different block all together.
